My Paper Bead Story
I've been asked many times to share my paper bead story.
It all started one day in 2017 when my mom decided that it was time for me to clear out her garage of all my endless (and cherished) stacks of collected paper (I love paper). Oh no! With nowhere to put it all, I realized it was finally time to use it up. So, I started to roll some paper beads (a favorite pastime of mine).
Hundreds of shining beads and several overflowing jars later, I had a thought: I would love to create some beautiful and truly unique paper bead jewelry that can delight as well as inspire people to smile, laugh, do good, be better, reach goals, achieve dreams, and/or heal through intention. And so the paper WORD bead was born… and some jovial jewelry to follow.
After months of rolling paper and finally finding a way to make the perfect (and very durable) paper word bead, I have happily found that the newfound pursuit to use up my precious paper had turned into a small jewelry-making business.
Currently, I sell my jewelry at:
○ Three Hawaii Hallmark locations
○ Mori by Art+Flea in Honolulu, Hawaii
○ Simply Sisters by Lola Miller Designs in Hilo, Hawaii
○ Na Mea Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii
I am honored to be able to share my creations with these amazing shops and look forward to expanding in the future. Thank you to all who enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy creating them. Your continuous support means the world to us ♥
