Hello from Merilee

                                                                       

Hi!  I'm Merilee, the designer, creator, paper bead maker, and owner of Meristic.

I am a nature lover, a free spirit, and a mom to an energetic and loving six-year-old daughter. When I’m not deeply engaged in homeschooling adventures, reading books, or rolling beads, I’m wandering in the great outdoors - deep in the wilderness, atop mountains, and amongst the trees. 

As an outdoor enthusiast, I am urgently working on being more green. In my constant cause to avoid being wasteful (with plastics, paper, shipping materials, etc.), I work diligently each day to shrink my carbon footprint, consume more responsibly, support sustainable businesses, and to figure out more and more ways to be less of a burden upon and more of an advocate for our precious Mother Earth. 

Currently, I use recycled, sustainable and/or recyclable materials to create, package, and ship my products. And I have partnered with One Tree Planted, a non-profit whose focus is reforestation and whose mission is to plant trees around the world. Meristic now donates partial proceeds to One Tree Planted, and the purchase of each item in my shop will PLANT ONE TREE! 

Meristic means composed of pieces. Each item in my shop is composed of one or more paper word beads/pieces. And each one of Meristic's valued customers are important pieces that contribute to saving our Mother Earth.
